Casale Umbro is located very central to many interesting places in Tuscany and Umbria, with good access by motorway (15 km) or train (8 km).
From Chiusi station one can reach Roma and Firenze in just a little more than 1 hour by Intercity trains.

If you plan not to come with your own car, but prefer to arrive by plane to Italy, the nearest airports to Casale Umbro are Roma, Firenze, Pisa, Bologna or Perugia.
From these towns there are trains to Chiusi - Chianciano Terme where there are taxicabs available or a car can be rented from Hertz, Avis or Europcar.

Another option would be to rent a car at the airport and drive to our property (Perugia 40 minutes / Firenze 1 hour / Bologna, Pisa and Roma 2 hours).
From the North (Firenze)

On the A1 motorway coming from Bologna/Florence going direction Rome, about 120 km South of Florence, take the exit "Chiusi - Chianciano Terme”.
*** Turn right and follow the signs to "Chiusi”.

At the first streetlight in Chiusi take the left lain and go straight up to the old part of Chiusi (Centro Storico).
The first curve takes you to the right. On the lefthand side you will see a little cinema.
After the next corner to the left the street splits. Straight on the street goes further up to the old part, but you have to turn right, were the street goes downhill. On the righthand side you will pass along the school.
The street will turn into a one-way street. Follow the street along the old citywall and continue on this way for about 6 km. On your way you will go over three bridges and pass two towers on your left side. After the last bridge you will see a sign "Castiglione del Lago”, which marks the border to Umbria.
Continue straight forward until you come to a crossing with signs to "Vaiano”, "Goiella” and "Porto" (left) and straight on to "Villastrada”. Go straight on. Shortly after the street makes a bend to the right and then to the left. Attention, immediately after the left curve turn sharply to the right. There are signs to "Cantagallina" and "Poggi". Immediately turn right again onto a downhill unpaved road. After 200 meters you reach Casale Umbro to your left, the first house on this road.

From the South (Rome)

On the A1 motorway coming from Rome going to Florence (Firenze), about 120 km north of Rome, take the exit "Chiusi – Chianciano Terme”.

From Perugia

On the toll-free "superstrada" E45 in direction Siena. Take the exit Magione and turn right towards Magione. After 2 km turn left at the round about and follow the road around Lake Trasimeno for ca. 20 km in direction Castiglione del Lago and Chiusi.
After the small village of "La Pineta" pass under a viaduct and then over a railway bridge. Follow the signs to Villastrada.
In Villastrada pass the bar and the church. Shortly after and just befor the road makes a bend to the right take the smaller street straight on passing the small Conad grocery store.
After 500 meters and again just before a curve to the right there are signs to the left direction Cantagallina and Poggi. Here turn left and immediately right again onto a downhill unpaved road. After 200 meters you reach Casale Umbro to your left, the first house on this road.
